Another step for Moodle and Git

Back in October 2006 at the Sydney MoodleMoot, Martin Langhoff introduced me to Git. Martin had just started using Git to track Moodle’s CVS… and was hosting it at Catalyst at http://git.catalyst.net.nz

Since then, Catalyst’s repo has become the source for many in Moodle:

This week, Catalyst’s Francois helped the Moodle.org guys take it a step further … and there’s now an official (read-only) Moodle Git repo: http://git.moodle.org

Hopefully it won’t be long until CVS is just a distant, scary memory.
